Sustainability
The pursuit of sustainability is both a claim and a commitment for Haussicht Real Assets GmbH. In order to combine economic and ecological aspects, the continuous examination and improvement of processes, the use of materials and the ongoing consideration of new findings are of essential importance to us.
Sustainability has many facets for our business model. First and foremost, climate protection plays a central role. We demonstrate this by focussing our entire business model on electricity generation from natural energy sources and related topics. This enables highly sustainable, virtually CO2-free electricity generation, thereby contributing to one of the most pressing issues of our time. In our developments in particular, objects are planned in such a way that they can be operated as emission-free and efficiently as possible over their life cycle. We are thus making an active contribution to a more sustainable future.

Renewable Energy
• With regard to climate protection, our focus is on the climate-friendly generation of electricity from natural energy sources, i.e.
- Energy production on a power plant scale
- Solar parks
- Wind farms
- Hydroelectric power plants
In this context, we are making an active contribution across all business areas to the transition to an increasingly climate-friendly energy industry.

Materials
There are numerous aspects that make building materials sustainable. These include durability, the possibility of reuse or the use of reused materials, low consumption of resources and energy as well as low emissions during production, use or disposal and the exclusion/minimization of risks to health or to natural habitats and biodiversity (“ecological balance sheet”).
We optimize the use of materials from a sustainability perspective using an internal evaluation system that makes it easier for us to make selection decisions in the event of conflicting objectives.
In doing so, we observe
- compliance with regulations
- economic factors
- suitability for the respective purpose, e.g. with regard to aspects such as
- Stability
- load-bearing capacity
- fire protection
- etc.

Efficiency
By focusing on power generation from renewable energies across all business areas, our business model is already structurally aligned with climate protection aspects. By handling the resources we use with care, we strive to achieve further optimizations with regard to the sustainability of our activities.
In the area of photovoltaics, for example, we always use bifacial PV modules wherever possible in order to achieve the highest possible energy yield per m² of module area. Bifacial modules also use the part of the light that falls on the back of a module due to reflection on the ground and therefore have a higher yield. Another way of optimizing the light yield is to use tracking systems, which always ensure a favourable angle of light incidence during the course of the day, as the yield is always highest when the light falls vertically onto the module. In doing so, we combine economic aspects with a minimization of land usage.
Another way to reduce land usage and avoid conflicting land use objectives is to use land jointly for agriculture and for the generation of electricity from sunlight. The solution is agri-photovoltaics (agri-PV). Here, solar modules are installed in a way, for example vertically in or high above an agricultural area, that allows parallel use for PV and agriculture. This is particularly important in the case of high-quality soils, which would otherwise be taken away from agriculture by photovoltaics.
We always take such considerations into account in our own projects. It is important to take this into account, for example and in particular for investments that are to be purchased in an AIF classified under Article 9 (SFDR) or as an impact investment.

Taxonomy compliance
For professional investors managing, for example, sustainable real asset funds, we offer potential access to a comprehensive range of investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector. These are generally suitable as investment targets for funds classified as Article 8 (SFDR) or Article 9 (SFDR) investment products or as impact investments or as compliant with EU Regulation 2020/852 (“EU Taxonomy”).
Valuability
Our added value for you
Personal support
We are personally available to you as an investor at all times. We have a local office in our target market of Greece. We have an extensive network of construction companies, service providers, manufacturers, brokers, architects, engineers, lawyers, banks and local decision-makers and can provide you with comprehensive support in all matters if required.
Our Experience
Our team has more than 25 years of experience in building numerous demanding private construction projects of very high quality in various cities in Greece. We also work closely with some of the best construction companies that specialize in the construction of solar farms or wind farms and have more than 15 years of experience in this field.
Commitment and long-term business relationships
We focus on long-term business relationships. We provide you with comprehensive support when initiating a transaction and in particular when entering the market in Greece, Bulgaria or Cyprus. We are also happy to assist you after a transaction has been completed, for example in the search for service partners for the operation and management of the facilities, or we can take care of this task ourselves, or in the search for potential buyers if you wish to part with an investment, for example after the completion of a construction project.
